I scanned the part where it reports on Sweden&#8217;s upcoming euro referendum:<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.stefangeens.com\/graphics\/blog\/economist.gif?resize=354%2C1272\" width=\"354\" height=\"1272\"><\/p>\n<p>Elsewhere this issue, <em>The Economist<\/em> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.economist.com\/printedition\/displayStory.cfm?Story_ID=1842183\">is not at all impressed<\/a> with Germany&#8217;s performance as the supposed economic engine of the eurozone: &#8220;Only partly in jest, The Economist suggests that a better question is not whether Britain should join the currency zone, but whether Germany should leave.&#8221; Very interesting reading, and relevant to Sweden&#8217;s decision whether to join EMU; does Sweden really want to have the same interest rate required to get the German economy back on its feet?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Economist focuses on the Nordic region in a special report this week.
