Bloggforum 2.0<\/a> is out of the gate, set for Saturday afternoon, May 28th, at Stockholm University’s School of Journalism, Media and Communication. The second time around it’ll be bigger, better and longer, mirroring the rising profile blogging is (finally?) getting in Sweden.<\/p>\n

Somehow, somewhere, amid the planning confusion, I ended up moderating the first panel, which would be a whole less daunting if it weren’t in Swedish. This means that I will really have to prepare. The topic couldn’t get any better, though: “Blogging: What’s the point?”.<\/p>\n

It just occurred to me that even in the US, there are still more atheists (10%<\/a>) than bloggers (7%<\/a>). Most people don’t see the point of blogging, even if more find some use in reading blogs. Meanwhile, in New York, arguably the world capital of blogging, blogging has been declared over on a weekly basis (most often by Matthew<\/a>) since about 2001. And yet they keep on blogging.
